Life history: Single-brooded. Larvae occasionally found in the spring in Suffolk on Honeysuckle and other plants.
Identification: The cross lines on Willow beauty start at the costa wide apart before almost converging near the trailing edge. In Mottled beauty the lines are wide apart across the wing. The cross lines on Satin beauty are less jagged and the wings more rounded.
Habitat: A wide variety of habitats including gardens.
